*Updated* I simplified the border as I'm going to be offering this as a print soon, *crosses fingers* and the original was just "too much" that took away from the drawing itself.

Well, here it is. I don't feel this is as much of a step forward in my skills as my Vash portrait was, but I still like it. I feel now that it's not as visually interesting as Vash is, so I'm going to have to do another Legato portrait with more interesting surroundings and more of his body showing in the future.
The thing is, Legato isn't an action guy. He never does anything but stand and talk, or sit and eat. So, I stole a scene from the anime where he's shot at by some gang members while eating. This is right before he makes them all kill each other with his mind alone. heh heh. Feel free to tell me what ya think!!
Here are the other TRIGUN characters:

Original Size: 13x15
Paper: Canson 70lb Drawing Paper

Reference Model: My Best Friend Matt Westlake THANKS MATT!!!
I love the hair and the shading you did on him. That skull on his arm rocks too. Since it says advanced critique I'll try to critique it. Something about the table bugs me a bit. I'll try to explain it, and sorry if I end up sounding confusing or rude or anything like that because I love it . I think that the very top line of the table where he's resting needs to slant upwards right to left a little bit. I don't think it quite matches the lower lines. I could be wrong though. I really wish I could've explained that better. Other than that, his clothes, face, everything else looks wonderful. Great job. Great shadows too. ^^ Hehe.
I really can't believe how some people use the pencil. When I saw the thumbnail of this picture I would swear that it was a B&W photo! You really are a pencil master and for that I hate and envy you. *cast curse upon wannabespiderman*

AAH SO GOOD! I loved your Vash picture to peices, and this one is so good too. I love how everything is so SMOOTH. So amazing. I think the pose is fine, infact it shows more emotion (in his face) than he usually has, haha. Beautiful art, can't wait to see more!

Me: Okay, if I had a dollar for everytime I didn't understand something, I would have a million dollars and thirty seven cents...
Alex: lol.
Alex: Wait what?
Me: This is easy money.
You make me actually like Anime characters...and that's saying a lot!!! Your ability to transform them into "people" is stunning, and your flawless techniques leave me...

Perhaps it isn't a huge step forward, but it still is a step! I prefer this to your Vash portrait because it has so much more impact and constrast. I love strong contrast.
Fading the bulletholes (that *is* what they are, isn't it? ) just a little might be a good idea, as they draw attention away from the subject a little too much, in my humble opinion. They provide a great background, but are just a little too prominant.
*love* the hair!

If the table thing was intended, I'm very sorry.
